Always ordered their pizza. We got groupon and decided to give their entrees a try. The Mariana sauce that came with the chicken fingers was delicious. Baked salmon was a bit salty but the pasta was great and their fried seafood was also great, very fulfilling. Definitely will go back. No parking.

Really great food, large portions, extremely affordable prices, fast/courteous service, & friendly neighborhood staff make this pizzeria & restaurant one of the best in Queens. There's a reason this place has been around and crushing it for over 40 years.

It was my first-time ordering from here and I couldn't be more pleased! I ordered 3 large pizzas last weekend for some friends and I to watch the masters and it was delicious. The pizzas were hot when I picked them up and the service was fantastic. I look forward to ordering from here again.

This place seems like more of a take-out place as we were the only customers but it could also be that we were there at an odd time and chose to sit down and eat. Our server was very courteous and we almost felt like we had booked the whole restaurant for ourselves. He made recommendations and food was brought quickly. The portions are huge, food fresh and delicious and price reasonable. We had a ton of leftovers which we used for lunch the next day. We enjoyed our meal here.

I have ordered from this place numerous times and have never been disappointed by their pizza. I am writing this positive review, however, due to a recent order that had to be cancelled. Due to circumstances out of their control, the restaurant did not have an item that was the main reason for this order. They were very friendly and professional when they called and understood my reason for cancelling the Grubhub order. Still, I will certainly be ordering from here again...and again. They have a great variety of specialty pizza slices and their prices on entrees are incomparable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent one of a kind Grandma pie. The classic NY pie and Sicilian have their own advantages over local competition. But its their grandma with distinct basil taste I always seem to go back to. Atmosphere: your house pickup or delivery the whole pie. No apps for takeout they all steal 20% of every order just call them up they have in house delivery men. I alternate Matese with some of the other local institutions. If I could only choose one, forever this might be it. I have yet to get a Chicken Parm platter and compare with the others.

Matese makes the best Sicilian Pizza! The staff is always friendly. I travel here from Eastern Nassau County a few times a year just for their amazing Sicilian pizza. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed. Update: I haven't been to Matese in a couple of years, so I can no longer vouch for the place in light of the more recent, negative reviews here. I won't change my review because it reflects my experience - just be aware it's dated.
